Puri Wale Alu
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seed (whole)
- 2 Red Chili broken in half
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric (powder)
- 1 lb Potato cubed
- 2 Tomato skinned and chopped
- Pinch Hing (Asafetida) in 1.5 cups water
- 2/3 cup Dhai (Yogurt)
- pinch Black Salt
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cumin Seed (ground)
- 1/2 tsp Ginger (ground)
- Corriander Leaves (Cilantro/Dhania)
Instructions
- Heat the oil and fry the cumin seeds until the splutter.
- add the red chili, turmeric, potatoes and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and hing waster and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add yogurt and simmer until gravy is creamy.
- Add the two salts and stir.
Serve
- Sprinkle with ground cumin, ground ginger, and coriander leaves.
